Nothing has released a new update v2.0.5 for its Weather app. The update brings an improved widget display, new unit for wind speed, UI refinements, and some general bug fixes without location permissions.

The size of the update is 1.7 MB and the update is currently released for beta testers and will be released for all users in the coming days.

What’s new with this  update?

  1. Improved widget performance without Location permission: Weather widget performance has not been improved when Location Services is turned off, it now shows the last record of weather data for the last location (before Location Services was turned off) instead of showing no location. Every widget is.

This works with both home screen and lock screen widgets and looks much better with location turned off than having no location icon on each widget.

2. New unit option for wind speed (m/s): A new unit option for wind speed information has been added. Earlier, there were two units of wind speed – KM/H and MPH, but now a new m/s (meters/second) unit option has been added to the wind speed settings. Wind speed can be checked by scrolling down the page in the Weather app, where the widget displays the wind speed along with its direction.

Steps to change unit for wind speed
  1. Open the Weather app and then open its settings by tapping on the Settings icon in the top right corner.

2. Then select the unit from the Wind settings, and the new unit will be applied to the wind speed tile on the Weather app’s home page.

The update also brings some UI improvements and smoother animations for a better user experience, and it also fixes some bugs to improve the overall experience. Nothing keeps working on its own apps like Weather app and Nothing X app to provide users the best experience with core functionality and clean design.
