The upcoming Nothing phone (2A) is confirmed to be powered by a custom MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset. This chip, developed in collaboration with MediaTek, promises to improve the user experience by providing significant performance boost and better power efficiency.

The Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset is engineered to outperform its predecessor, the Snapdragon 778G+ found in the Nothing phone (1). The new chipset delivers 18% higher performance and 16% lower power consumption, setting a new standard for mobile processing power. This progress is largely attributed to its building on TSMC’s second-generation 4nm process technology.

Featuring an octa-core CPU configuration, the Dimensity 7200 Pro includes two Arm Cortex-A715 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz along with six Cortex-A510 cores. This powerful setup has already shown its capabilities in the leaked AnTuTu benchmarks, where the phone (2a) achieved an impressive score of 738164 points.

Adding to its list of enhancements, Nothing has introduced a new Smart Clean optimization technology that aims to boost the read and write speeds of the device, thus ensuring smooth operation and faster data handling. The company is also proud of the seamless integration between the Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset and Nothing OS software, which contributes to lower power consumption in key components such as the display and modem.

Additionally, Nothing has made some improvements to the data transfer speed between the phone (2A) and a Windows PC. These improvements are a direct result of optimizations in the Dimensity 7200 Pro Chipset.

Nothing Phone (2A) launch event is taking place on March 5 in Delhi, India.
