Last Monday, @OnLeaks shared what many thought to be a glimpse of the upcoming Nothing phone (2a). However, it turned out that the enthusiasm was for naught. The image shared is not of the much-awaited Nothing Phone (2A) but of the Nothing smartphone which was never released. This explains why the render appeared so authentic.

The confusion began when Evan Blass, known as @evleaks, raised doubts about the image. He pointed out the redesign of the Nothing Phone (2A), particularly its camera setup, as not being in line with Nothing’s vision of “looking at the world with fresh eyes”.

The truth came out when Steve, the man behind @OnLeaks, admitted that the render was not real. So, for those waiting anxiously, the actual Nothing phone (2A) is expected to have a design closer to the other renders shared and not the one initially circulated last Monday.

So basically, the Nothing phone (2A) will have glyph lights on the back and two cameras in the middle. Let’s wait for the official design of the smartphone which will be revealed by the company itself. There is also a rumor that it can be launched after the MWC 2024 event.
