OnePlus is preparing to launch its latest audio product “OnePlus Buds 3” on January 4. The event will coincide with the release of the Ace 3 smartphone. Following earlier leaks about the design of the Buds 3, it has now been confirmed that they will be very similar to the Buds Pro 2.
The Buds 3 are set to raise the bar of audio quality in the OnePlus lineup. The company has integrated dual drivers into these earbuds, a feature that was previously exclusive to the Buds Pro series. This inclusion suggests a significant increase in sound quality, aimed at establishing the Buds 3 as a flagship-level audio device.
OnePlus has made ambitious claims about the performance of the Buds 3. A graph released by the company shows that these earphones outperform competing brands in five key aspects. However, the name of the contestant is unknown, and the specifics of these aspects are not detailed.
Along with advanced dual drivers, the Buds 3 will feature next-generation noise cancellation technology. This upgrade is expected to improve both audio playback and call quality. Despite these enhancements, the design of the buds and their case remain largely unchanged, suggesting that OnePlus is focusing on internal improvements rather than external aesthetics.
In terms of performance metrics, the Buds 3 excel in several areas. These are rated 4.7 for bass, 4.8 for clarity, timbre and tone and 4.6 for spatial sound. OnePlus has already started taking bookings for the Buds 3. Interested customers can sign up to receive notifications about product releases. When it launches on Wednesday, the OnePlus Buds 3 will be available for pre-order.
