OnePlus is preparing for its launch event on January 23, 2024. The company has confirmed the release of its next flagship “OnePlus 12” in India and globally. The OnePlus 12R is rumored to be a rebadged version of the OnePlus Ace 3. Unlike the OnePlus 11R, which was available in select markets, OnePlus has confirmed that the 12R will be released widely, including in the EU and US. ,
The latest leak indicates that the OnePlus 12R will feature a new 1.5K resolution OLED screen manufactured by BoE. It will reportedly come with at least 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The device is also expected to have an advanced camera system, which includes a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and possibly a 32 MP telephoto lens.
On the battery side, the OnePlus 12R is expected to feature a large 5,500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. Unlike the OnePlus 12, the 12R doesn’t offer wireless charging or an official IP rating. The smartphone is expected to run Android 14 with OxygenOS 14 right out of the box. Based on the leaks, the starting price of the device could be around Rs 40,000 for the base model.
