Competitive Changes
Blizzard is updating the ranked competitive mode with a more clear ranking system. Now players can easily track their progress/result on win or loss.
New Skins
Players can unlock a new Emerald skin for all heroes by using points earned in ranked matches while playing the game. There’s also a Premium Battle Pass with new skins and items, including an exclusive Mythic Moira skin.
New Upcoming Events
There will be several limited time events during Season 9. These include a collaboration with Cowboy Bebop, a cosmic crisis theme, and a Valentine’s Day theme.
Some big new competitive ranked mode changes will make player progression easier. There are also new ways to unlock skins and items by playing or spending money. And Blizzard has special in-game events planned for different things.
