The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition has been updated with a huge list of bug fixes, creation menu, Steam Deck support, and more.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, the remastered version of Bethesda’s acclaimed RPG, has received a major update that supports upcoming Steam decks, a new Creation menu, and more. Additionally, the update also introduces platform-exclusive bug fixes and other improvements.

The latest update adds Bethesda Game Studios’ Creation menu to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, which lets players download creation content directly. Creations combines Skyrim’s existing mods, Creation Club items, and all new Creations under one Creation menu that is available to browse for players who install the latest update.

Creators can create their own creations for players to enjoy or even apply to the Bethesda Game Studios Verified Creator Program to set prices for their creations. Some of the new creations launched include East Empire Expansion, Katja the Thief, WinterFrost, Arquebus, and more.

Additionally, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now supported on Steam Deck. Next, there’s additional support for ultrawide PC monitors, including 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, and 32:9 displays. Additionally, some bug fixes include the following:

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when fighting the Dwarven Ballista.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when transferring multiple arrows to a follower.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Kindred Judgment from starting if certain NPCs were eliminated.
  • Fixed slow speed when running with a large number of creations.
  • Fixed an issue with the world being underwater when fast traveling.
  • Fixed an issue where NPCs would get stuck in a sit-and-stand loop when using furniture.
  • Fixed control lock that could occur when eating a corpse equipped with Namira’s Ring while Survival Mode is active.
  • Fixed missing dirt for slot 1 on women’s faces.
  • Fixed flickering on the floor in Largashbur.
  • The crack in the rocks near Lake Ilinalta was bridged.
  • Removed obsolete grass files from the Miscellaneous collection.
  • Improved performance in Virthur’s throne room.

In addition to the many other improvements mentioned in the patch notes, there are also some platform-specific fixes, such as the bug that prevented Xbox controllers from being recognized on Epic Games, which has been fixed.
