WhatsApp is rolling out a smart new feature to ensure that your private chats stay safe on every device you use. Imagine locking a chat on your phone and having it lock on your computers and tablets too. This is what WhatsApp is doing. This new update was first spotted by WABetaInfo in WhatsApp version 2.24.4.14 for Android phones, which is currently being tested.
Earlier, WhatsApp would let you lock chats to keep them private, and they also added a special lock with a secret password that only you know. This secret lock ensured that no one else could see your locked chat. But, there was a catch. You had to set these locks on each device yourself.
Now, WhatsApp is changing that. When you lock a conversation on one device, it will automatically be locked on all your other devices as well. This makes it very easy to keep your chats private and also saves your time.
This new feature is going to come in the next update of WhatsApp. They are currently testing it in version 2.24.4.14 for Android phones.
And there is more good news from WhatsApp. They are working on letting you send messages between WhatsApp and other apps like Telegram and Signal. But, it can launch only in Europe.
